Plaintiffs were on the road when a truck driver with a history of driving concerns struck one of the plaintiffs’ cars, causing injuries to the driver and a child in the car, as well as to another driver whose vehicle was in front of that car. The truck driver ultimately cased a five-car incident. Jurors awarded $141.5 million.
