Plaintiff was going to take a flight. He had a mini-stroke before the plane took off, but despite that, the airplane ended up taking off anyways with him on-board. He suffered a stroke in mid-air and had limited access to medical treatment until the plane landed. He now has significant neurological issues. Jurors awarded $13.3 million, which was reduced to $9.6 million based on a finding of partial fault to the plaintiff.
